| Welcome to the GREGORCZYK family! -- My family's continuously updated family tree and collection of genealogical, historical, and family information. Frank Grzegorczyk immigrated to Texas in 1856 with two children, John age 13, and Anna age 3. His wife, who I believe was named Mary Johanna has not been found in any records anywhere so far. Since the 1870 U S Census does not list her, she probably died either prior to the immigration from Poland or prior to 1870 in Texas, in which case she would have been buried somewhere between Galveston or Indianola and Karnes County. Their son John married Albena Bomba and had 16 children. If you are a Gregorczyk living in Texas, there is a good chance you are a descendant in our family. Their daughter Anna married Frank R. Moczygemba, nephew of the Reverend Leopold Moczygemba that was responsible for the Polish immigration between 1854 and 1856. We are particularily interested in locating any information on Frank Grzegorcyk 1822-1889, his wife, any family Bible that may have existed, and any information on his ancestry and descendants. As we search for our ancestors and their descendants we need to respect the privacy of our living family members and be mindful of what information we make available to the public on the Internet. Crooks and scam artists are everywhere and the Internet is no exception. It is my hope that this Internet site will help us connect with the rest of our family and facilitate getting them listed in the family tree. LIVING INDIVIDUALS In order to protect their rights and privacy, I will do my best not to place any information (other than their name) on the Internet about anyone who is still living, unless I have their express permission to do so. This is the reason the word "PRIVATE" shows up next to many of the names in the family tree. The program is set to only show information on individuals that have a death date or are more than 100 years old. If we care enough about our family to search for ancestors, we have to care enough to protect our descendants. SHARING OF INFORMATION Every bit of information I have accumulated has a source. Source information is being withheld from the Internet on purpose.
